About Us

At Employers for Work-Life Balance, we have first-hand experience of working for good companies and also bad companies. We passionately believe that promoting a positive work-life balance has noticeable benefits for employers and employees alike.

Employees who are able to maintain a work-life balance are more productive, and also more loyal to their employers, saving both time and money on recruiting new staff.

We also aim to keep you up to date with the latest HR industry news, keeping people informed of their rights and responsibilities in the workplace.

So who are we?

Jane Robinson

I started my career, nearly 20 years ago now, as a PA in a hotshot London law firm. I saw many people come and go, often without word. I began to realise that there was a different way, and moved into the HR profession determined to make a difference. I’ve faced some challenges along the way, but feel that I have remained true to my core beliefs.

My career in HR began back in the days when it was still referred to as ‘Personnel Management’ – A cold term, which I’m glad to see the back of. Thankfully since those days, it is not just the name that has changed with the HR industry. Employers have increasingly begun to see the value in investing in their staff, but there is still a way to go for many.

I’m Tracey, the baby in the team. I started out as an events co-ordinator, specialising in corporate entertainment. After spending a couple of years learning the ropes, I was unfortunately made redundant. Job opportunities within the industry were few and far between, as the credit crunch had hit corporate Britain hard. I widened my search, and pretty much fell into HR, but have been loving it ever since.
